At RiversEdge, our parks come alive with vibrant community activities that invite residents to engage and connect. Picture yourself participating in energizing dance classes on the lawn, enjoying after-work picnics with a sunset view, or gathering friends for cozy movie nights beneath the stars. These experiences unfold across our four beautifully designed parks, each offering unique spaces and opportunities for connection.
Central Park
As the crown jewel of RiversEdge, Central Park brings the community together. Located directly along the riverfront, Central Park was designed in partnership with the world-renowned architectural and artistry group, THEVERYMANY. It features a pavilion/amphitheater, an open-space event lawn, an adjacent plaza area, several walking paths, shady trees, ample seating, and a dynamic, transformative sculpture that offers unique perspectives to the community around it.
Northwest Park
Positioned at the top corner of the property, Northwest Park offers families a fun and leisurely experience with a combination of durable synthetic turf, swings, and bike racks. Anchoring the park is a vibrant, interactive art piece by Anaisa Franco, which offers comfort and encourages fun, healthy play.
Marshfront Park
Take a stroll through the Discovery Path at Marshfront Park, which winds through native plants and a beautiful herbal garden. There are also many uniquely shaped landscape forms that are not only visually appealing but provide an excellent spot to sit and rest. The middle of the park consists of a synthetic lawn perfect for families and kids to gather and play. Marshfront Park offers ample shade as well as access to a trail through an adjacent wooded area.
Fitness Park
The Fitness Park is all about health and fun, with two playgrounds and a separate section for working out. The Big Heart area is for kids aged 5 to 12 and includes a carousel, huge swings, and a climbing zone. The Little Heart is for those 2 to 5 years old and has kids’ swings, a peekaboo tunnel, and a Playfair structure with slides. Fitness-minded adults will have state-of-the-art equipment like an arm bike, flex wheel, sit-up bench, and climbing stairs.
From Marshfront Park to Fitness Park is a boardwalk that stretches 1,500 feet. On their walk, visitors might spot various wildlife native to Jacksonville and stunning views of the wetlands below. If you’re looking for a scenic walk or a jog, the Marsh Boardwalk is the perfect route to enjoy our natural environment and stay active.
Are you interested in hosting a one-time event, an annual celebration, or a regular activity at RiversEdge? We’d love to team up with you! Our parks provide the perfect backdrop for bringing communities together.
